Undergraduate students are invited to apply as Research Assistants for the iCreate pilot project, which runs for 10 weeks, starting April 13 and concluding June 19. Candidates should demonstrate initiative as well as good organization and leadership skills. The project fosters youth resilience through arts and science research, so candidates should be community oriented; an interest in arts, science, or social justice is an asset. Students will coordinate a conference, weekly workshops, and a symposium, and will contribute to onsite and website content, among other tasks. Remuneration will be for 240 hours at standard CBU rates (dependent on the student’s year in program).
We are also seeking a senior or graduate student to serve as project manager. In addition to demonstrating the qualities listed above, candidates should be prepared to facilitate the RA team, communicate with all participants in the project, and maintain a public presence on campus for the project. This position is full time (~35 hours/week) for the duration of the project (10 weeks), remunerated at standard CBU rates (currently $18 + MERC for a graduate student).
Questions and applications (cover letter and CV) can be sent to Dr. Sheila Christie (sheila_christie@cbu.ca). Applications are due by 5PM, Friday, April 10.
